This page represents a growing list of resources for faith and for the Presbyterian Church (USA). If you can think of other documents that would be helpful here, drop us an email and, if possible, we will add them.
The website of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is a source of not only current news about our denomination, but it also contains several interpretive articles about how Presbyterians understand the Bible, divine grace and other theological perspectives.
The Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is composed of the Book of Confessions and the Book of Order. The former represents eleven creeds and confessions of the church. Some, such as the Nicene Creed or the Apostles’ Creed, are shared by many other Christian communions. The Brief Statement of Faith, however, created at the union of the former “Northern” and “Southern” Presbyterian Churches in the 1980’s, is uniquely a product of contemporary Presbyterian beliefs and vision (which are also shared by other church groups.)
Copies of the Books of Confession and Order may be purchased in hard copies at http://www.pcusa.org. Here we offer Adobe Acrobat versions. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Player, you may download one by clicking on the link below.
