The website of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is a source of not only current news about our denomination, but it also contains several interpretive articles about how Presbyterians understand the Bible, divine grace and other theological perspectives.
The Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is composed of the Book of Confessions and the Book of Order. The former represents eleven creeds and confessions of the church. Some, such as the Nicene Creed or the Apostles’ Creed, are shared by many other Christian communions. The Brief Statement of Faith, however, created at the union of the former “Northern” and “Southern” Presbyterian Churches in the 1980’s, is uniquely a product of contemporary Presbyterian beliefs and vision (which are also shared by other church groups.)
