Love is the at the heart of our faith community at Laurel.

Worship … As with many Presbyterian churches, at Laurel the rhythm of our worship service each week consists of similar elements:  we open with gratitude, then acknowledge our need for grace and to start again, we hear God’s Word read and proclaimed, we respond to the Word read and proclaimed by affirming our faith, we make our prayer requests to God known, and we close with both a charge and a blessing.

The elements are grouped under these headings:  Gathering Around Love, Receiving Love, Proclaiming Love, Responding in Love, and Bearing Love Into the World.

Contemplative, joy filled, grounded … It is an ancient formula but designed to speak freshly to the needs of God’s people today, featuring robust music that undergirds all of our worship. Come dressed casually and know you are welcomed here.

Children of all ages welcome… Children and youth are invited to be part of our worshipping congregation.  We offer nursery care for infants and toddlers, if the parents choose.

The Lord’s Supper… We celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper  the first Sunday of each month, which in other traditions is also known as Holy Communion and the Eucharist.  All are welcomed at the Table.

Every Sunday… We worship every Sunday at 10:00 am in the sanctuary.  Adult Sunday School is at 9:00am in the Fellowship hall or outdoors in the back parking lot on a nice day.

Other times…  Special times of worship include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, a Good Friday Impact Experience, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas Eve.
